It has been said that when the student is ready the teacher arrives. Prayerful creative visualization arrived as a tool and a gift from God for my friend and me when we were ready to see life in a different way. My friend gravitated to the idea of using creative visualization because she wanted to change her life as much as I did. She was sick and tired of suffering. She wanted to enjoy her life. Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired yet? When you have had enough of dissatisfaction, unhappiness and living below your potential, you will be ready to use prayerful creative visualization.

When someone shows you that they can't be respectful to you to support you, you need to take that in account. When someone is not around when you really need them, how can you trust them to have your back in rougher times. With the person I called myself in love with, he lied about things, he didn't have my back on things, and I had to rationalize about things by lying to myself. It's not a good thing to do to yourself. And you deserve much better.

When my time comes, I hope not to die from being silent on important issues such as the one at hand when I should, instead, be making my truths known, even in the midst of those who may experience surprise and hurt, in response. I hope not to die accepting and smiling about issues which should solicit my rage instead. I hope not to die believing the lies about my gender and my colour.

I have never been so happy with my hair, my skin, my nature my AUTHENTICITY before. I feel like a Queen...a God-CROWNED Queen! I have also never experienced such a wide range of reactions to my hair. My hair for me has become my own personal study on culture, on human nature and on sisterhood. When I embraced this particular way of wearing my hair I must confess that I was not as aware of it’s implications as I am today. Those who have known me for a number of years know that I have gone from color to color, style to style and in and out and back again with my hair. I have always LOVED trying out different hairstyles and just being creative with it. Dreads, however have been an experience that no other "hair-fancy"of mine has ever been for me before.

In this world today we have so much to be thankful for. Yes, there is poverty, violence, war and pain on individual and global levels. There is also great beauty, love, Light and grace from God. To the extent that we focus on the Light instead of the darkness the Light will be increased. Lord, some days I’m so tired. I just don’t want to go on another day. Everyone pulls on me. My husband, my kids, my co-workers. I need to find time alone with You, and no one seems to want to let that happen but me. My body aches. My feet hurt. My heart just cries. I get so I just want to lay down and go to sleep and let the world go right on by me.
