Woman, Fight On October 19, 2004 • By Christian Dixon
Woman, Fight On
The tears you shed are not enough
You must fight on
You must be tough
If not for you, do it for your child
The one you caress
After your mates gone wild
You look in her eyes
And wonder how she would be
If someone abused her
If she would fight a good fight
Like she did when she was born
Or if she'd shrug up and block her face
Like you do in the morn
Woman, Fight On
What are you thinking about? Are you not worth the respect
All your good for is sex and neglect?
Woman, Fight On
Raise your head high!
Pray to the God above
Wipe your weeping eyes
Tell Him that you are tired
Pray to Him for strength
Make up your mind that your better than that
You are special and divine
Don't ever forget that!
God made you to be queen of the son
Not a mama to 12 kids
And a wife to none
Continue to strive on
You can do bad all by yourself
Keep focused on God
From Him cometh your help
Woman, Fight On
The sun is shining a new day
It's God's love and mercy
That will show you the way
Woman, Fight on
Fulfill your destiny
In Christ Jesus, there's love
And in love you will be. Have you ever said to yourself, “I wish I could change……….…” or “If I only had larger or smaller…………..…….”? Having a negative body image affects all of us at one time or another. Unfortunately, because of low self-esteem or personal experiences, it haunts some more than others. But, even if you've learned to love your body and have come out of the “I wish” phase, mostly all women can sympathize with our girlfriends, daughters, sisters and mothers that still have to learn how to embrace, accept and love themselves. This article is for all my girlfriends who have felt the disappointment of trying on that pair of jeans that used to fit last year.

Inescapable media images of sexed-up girls and women posing as adolescents can cause psychological and even physical harm to adolescents and young women, a study in the US has warned. Back To Archives
