Pen-ology
LaTronya Williams
Depressed, distraught.
Down and out.
So young growing beautiful.
Not knowing what life's truly about.
Doing things that aren't what a lady should do.
Listen up, young girl. I'm talking to you.
Just because he says you're beautiful
or tell you he's in love. You do things for him that no other wants.
You come to his every beck and call.
Girl, you're doing everything. Girl, you do it all.
He doesn't give you your respect.
Late at night you wish and regret.
That you never came across this boy.
You know as well as everyone else, you're
nothing but his toy.
You've got a name for yourself.
They call you a bust down to be exact.
It cuts like a knife to know this
but you know that it's a fact.
I use my pen to steer young girls that
right way.
To give them knowledge and hopes for a
better day.
My pen hits paper and runs like this
and runs its way.
My pen gives hope to that GHETTO FAB GURL.
To let her know it's her world.
My pen-ology is the study of the streets.
My pen-ology gives these guide lines so she
doesn't fall into deep.
My pen-ology is the study of being a real lady
proud and true.
My pen-ology made me study myself.
Now I study you.
