I Am Worthy
December 20, 2004By Pam Osbey

More precious than pretty diamonds my heart is worth much more.
than a quick lay.
And more than you will ever know cause...

I am a queen in waiting.
And I don't have to waste my time
running around little boys who pretend
to be men.
And I don't have to wait for empty phone
call conversations that won't happen
Cause...

I am worthy of more.
And I am divine
and if you don't have time to
rewind your plastic player tape
then that is fine.

Because I am a divine
sister on the throne
waiting to be accompanied by
the one God has designed for me.

A king.Not a pawn.
A man.
Not a boyman.

A responsible brother who doesn't have to lie.
A man who will not consistently make me cry.
An individual who won't have to shuck.
He won't have to dive.
Because he will be honest.
I will trust him with all my heart.
And he will love me divinely from the start.

Yes, I am divine.
Yes, I am worthy.
I deserve all the love
that will someday come to me.
And I will laugh when I remember
kissing those frogs who pretended to be kings.

Have you ever said to yourself, “I wish I could change……….…” or “If I only had larger or smaller…………..…….”? Having a negative body image affects all of us at one time or another. Unfortunately, because of low self-esteem or personal experiences, it haunts some more than others. But, even if you've learned to love your body and have come out of the “I wish” phase, mostly all women can sympathize with our girlfriends, daughters, sisters and mothers that still have to learn how to embrace, accept and love themselves. This article is for all my girlfriends who have felt the disappointment of trying on that pair of jeans that used to fit last year.

Inescapable media images of sexed-up girls and women posing as adolescents can cause psychological and even physical harm to adolescents and young women, a study in the US has warned.
