Hiyaah Power is the spirit child of Niambi "Bibi" Jarvis. Recognizing the importance of global citizenship and social entrepreneurship, Niambi created Hiyaah Power as a media outreach branch intent on empowering women and girls worldwide. Focusing on revelation, resolution and restoration for the hurting masses, she embarked on manifesting her life's purpose.
Having lived and studied abroad, Niambi strives to empower women to realize their God-given potential. Hiyaah Power works with dynamic women's organizations worldwide to facilitate healing and restoration for women while tackling current diversity issues. Our vision is to create restorative conferences, workshops and seminars through state-of-the-art media channels. Hiyaah Power will leverage Niambi's executive level management experience in the information technology management industry. In her professional life, Niambi has managed and procured multi-million dollar contracts for her clients and has worked on creating economic development, entrepreneurship/innovation, and gender advocacy programming. Niambi was appointed as Executive Director of the DC Commission for Women and Director of Women's Policy and Initiatives by Mayor Adrian Fenty in 2007.
Niambi graduated from Howard University for both Undergraduate and Law School. Niambi is a a graduate of the Women's Campaign School at Yale and has also studied at Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia; in addition, she traveled as a Youth Ambassador to Israel and completed a political study in Turkey with the American Council of Young Political Leaders. Ms. Jarvis has appeared in print and on television including, Black Entertainment Television (BET), BET.com, Good Morning America, Black Enterprise, Essence and local radio nationwide. Niambi hosted the Nouveau Networking segment on national talk show, Greatness by Design on XM Satellite Radio. In addition, she has spoken on diversity issues with organizations ranging from Working Mother Media and Microsoft to the America-Israel Friendship League. She is the author of 100 Words of Wisdom for Women: A 31-Day Exercise in Empowerment.
